sqayy
Background: Sqayy is one of Morfs exotic creatures that gravitated to him when he was hiking a Merang tropical jungle location. It’s rare to see a relian fetcher up close and tamed. Sqayy is old and probably its lost partner hence why it became close to Morf.
Species Name: Relian Fetcher
Type: Avian-like Psittacidae
Origin: They are found in bioluminescent jungles
Intelligence Level: Moderate intelligence capable of pattern recognition and basic mimicry.
Temperament: Highly curious and drawn to energy sources such as tech, bioluminescent flora, or cybernetic enhancements. Communicates via harmonic chirps that can interfere with low-level communication systems. They travels in two’s as a bonded reflector type glimmer.
Physical Appearance: Average Size of 4 to 6 inches. Iridescent layers that shift between golden yellows and silver teal depending on light exposure. They have large, glossy black with a reflective inner membrane that glows faintly in low light. A sharp pecking beak with wings nearly invisible at full speed, their feathers refract light sources.
Skills and Abilities: Sqayy can bend surrounding light to briefly become nearly invisible when threatened and can absorb trace energy from nearby devices. When in a pair they can drain a small devices energy. Their synchronized chirping can jam communications, distort audio sensors and cause mild disorientation in organic beings. It is wise not to have two paired. As a last resort for defense Sqayy can emits a blinding flash of golden light if the fetcher feels it’s life is at stake.
Diet and Habitat: Sqayy feeds on an imported nectar from glowing jungle plants. Microscopic airborne spores and residual electromagnetic energy. They nest in clusters made of woven bioluminescent plant life and prefer areas rich solar energy fields. Once every 120 years it lays a crystal-shelled egg giving birth to an offspring.
