I sat on a green bench in a willow grove inhaling tacky flowers and watching the movements of nature as the men of mighty nations waged war in the distance.
The fire and smoke inched closer to my living grounds and I prayed for this helpless eco-system that surrounded me from being destroyed on account of my species being responsible for their demise but no omnipotent being responded to my prayer.
My options were limited as I too would eventually become another statistic of murder…excuse me causality of war caused by egotistical men and their neverending pissing contests.
